Connecting the Missing Pieces

When you see a child with autism you see a child like any other. However, if you were to approach the child and interact with them, you might notice:

  • They may not look you in the eye.
  • They may not be able to speak.
  • They may appear to ignore you.
  • They may repeat things over and over.
  • They may require constant attention and supervision.
  • They may have trouble making friends.

  • Autism is a spectrum disorder. If you look at 10 children with autism, they might display different combinations of the puzzle pieces. That is why no two children with autism are alike.
